At TruthAngel, privacy isn't just a policy—it's a core ethical principle. We believe that your data belongs to you, and you alone. This privacy policy explains how we handle (or rather, don't handle) your information.

TruthAngel Unchained Browser Extension

What We DON'T Collect

TruthAngel Unchained browser extension does not collect, store, transmit, or process any user data:

• No questions or prompts - What you type stays on your device
• No browsing history - We don't track which sites you visit
• No personal information - No names, emails, or identifiers
• No analytics or telemetry - We don't track how you use the extension
• No cookies - We don't set any tracking cookies
• No accounts - You don't need to sign up or log in
• No external servers - Everything runs locally in your browser

How It Works

When you use TruthAngel Unchained:

1. You type a question in the extension popup
2. The extension formats it into a prompt locally on your device
3. The formatted prompt is copied to your clipboard
4. You paste it into any AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
5. Nothing is sent to TruthAngel servers (we don't even have servers!)

Browser Permissions

The extension only requests these minimal browser permissions:

• Storage: To save your preferred categories (stored locally in your browser)
• Clipboard: To copy generated prompts when you click the copy button

These permissions are used only for the stated functionality. No data leaves your device.

TruthAngel.org Website

Website Analytics

The TruthAngel.org website does not use any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks. We don't know who visits our site, and we like it that way.

Server Logs

Like all websites, our web server automatically logs basic technical information required for operation:

• IP address (for security and preventing abuse)
• Request date/time
• Page requested
• Browser type (user agent)

These logs are used only for security purposes and are automatically deleted after 30 days. We never analyze, sell, or share this data.

Living Books AI Integration

When you use TruthAngel Living Books (our AI-powered Q&A interface):

• Your questions are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate answers
• This is required for the AI to function (it needs to process your question)
• Google's Gemini API has its own privacy policy (see Google AI Terms)
• We do not store your questions or answers on our servers
• Session data (conversation history) is stored temporarily in your browser only

Third-Party Services

Google Gemini API

Our Living Books feature uses Google's Gemini API for AI-generated answers. When you ask a question:

• Your question is sent to Google's servers
• Google processes it and returns an answer
• Google's privacy policy applies to this interaction

We use our own API key, so Google doesn't associate questions with individual users.

Children's Privacy

TruthAngel services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since we don't collect any user data at all, this is inherently protected.

Data Security

Since we don't collect or store user data, there's no user data to secure. The best security is not having your data in the first place.

Your Rights

Under various privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have rights regarding your personal data. Since we don't collect any personal data, there's nothing to access, delete, or export. You're already in full control.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we'll update this page and change the "Last Updated" date at the top. We will never start collecting data without making it explicitly clear and giving you a choice.
